When it comes to our furniture, most of it was either given to us or bought second hand. As we no longer have a need for pieces we frequently repurpose them. For example. We no longer needed a tv stand that my parents had given us fifteen years ago. I moved it into the dining room, put the spinning photo holder on top of it and in the bottom I have stored all of our crayongs, coloring books and other drawing things. You can repurpose new pieces as well, like the baker’s rack I got on sale. I turned it into a printer table that also holds a lamp, and on the shelves I keep paper, my photo printer and a portable file holder.
