We have a typical stainless steel sink in our kitchen. Dirt and gook often seem to get under the edge where the sink comes up over the counter. It’s gross and difficult to clean. While surfing the web I saw a different type of sink that would put a stop to my problem - an undermount sink. A sink such as this is installed under the counter so there is no crack for gunk to get into. The look is very modern and streamlined and I like it a lot. When we have the money we need to replace our kitchen counter so that would also be a good time to upgrade our sink.
