Yes, I know it’s Sunday. Sorry I’m a day late. We had a busy day yesterday with basketball season opening ceremony in the morning and a basketball game later. We got a dusting of snow, which made me think of warmer places like Aruba. Aruba is an island in the Caribbean that I’ve often heard is very beautiful. Today I found a webcam for the Bucuti Beach in Aruba. The really neat thing about this webcam, other than the view of the gorgeous beach, is that at a certain time each day it zooms in to an area so people there can wave to their friends and family members back at home. I didn’t see a single heavy person on the webcam today, I wonder if any of them take Orovo to keep a good figure.

I was wondering what percentage of Las Vegas jobs were in casinos. I never realized how many casinos were out there. This week I found a webcam for the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. This hotel offers scale replicas of the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Paris Opera House, the Hotel de Ville and the Alexander III Bridge. It’s even got its own Eiffel Tower, which is a half scale exact reproduction of the real thing. You can take a ride to the top for a view of Vegas or stop to eat at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant on the 11th floor. This sounds like a very cool place!

I live a little over an hour from New York City. Everyone says it’s an exciting place. I just don’t know if I’d enjoy a day there. I like it here in the suburbs. I’ve only been to the city a handful of times, two or three with my parents and once on a class trip. Each trip was to a show of some sort – King And I, Beatlemania and Radio City Music Hall twice. I know there’s a lot to the city that I know nothing about. I found the Time Square Cam and watched for a while. There are actually 16 of them. It looks so crowded and hectic. Considering the busy streets and what I’ve seen on television, I just don’t understand how it is that New Jersey has higher auto insurance rates then New York.

This week’s a bit closer to home. This week’s webcam is at the Absecon Lighthouse, located right here in New Jersey. The lighthouse is in Atlantic City, about an hour south of me. (I’ll be going to Atlantic City for a concert later this month.) It’s the tallest in the state and the third tallest in the country. The view from there is breathtaking on a clear, sunny day. If you’re planning a trip to the Atlantic City area you should definitely include this as one of your stops.

I’ve never been off of the East Coast of the US, except for a trip to Billings, Montana, a trip to Quebec, Canada and a trip to Great Britain. So there’s any places in the US I’ve heard about that I’d like to see. Las Vegas is one of those places. The Earthcam Las Vegas is very cool, and the site is right in advising that it’s best viewed at night. The lion appearing in the webcam in front of the MGM Grand hotel Las Vegas is fantastic!
